Groveport Town Hall was constructed in 1876 as a jointly-owned project of the Village of Groveport, Madison Township, the Masonic Lodge and the Odd Fellows Lodge. The building has previously housed a hardware store, dry goods store, the Senior Center and Madison Township offices.

Today, Town Hall has been restored to its 1876 beauty, offering two floors for reservation by individuals and corporations, a historical museum featuring a section on early Canal history and the famous Horse Whisperer, an art gallery, nature center, and a cultural arts center with arts and education classes for the whole family.

Cultural Arts Center

The Cultural Arts Center offers arts and education classes at Town Hall and the Department's separate facility for children, Crooked Alley KidSpace, 630 Wirt Road.  An art gallery and historical museum are also located on the first floor.  The Heritage Nature Center, located in the historic Log House in Heritage Park, offers hands-on programming on topics of natural science.

Calendars for monthly arts and education programs can be found at Town Hall, KidSpace, as well as the Southeast Library. For online calendars, please view the following:

Reservations

Social and meeting rooms may be reserved for personal or business events at Groveport Town Hall. The three-story historic building offers rooms for use by the community on the second and third floors. The Groveport Heritage Museum, Art Gallery and Cultural Arts Center occupy the first floor of the building.

A contract will be completed to reserve your room and identify policies for facility usage. Town Hall may be reserved by Groveport residents and businesses for $25 an event; an hourly fee is charged for use by non-residents and those who work outside the municipal limits. To receive a facility, the contract signer must show proof of Groveport residency (Tax District 185) with a photo ID. A security deposit is no longer collected, however the contract signer will continue to be legally and financially responsible for all damages incurred by participants of the group and must be present for the duration of the event.

The second floor auditorium/ballroom can accommodate tables and chairs for 115 persons, or theater seating for 263. Hardwood floors, a full stage with lighting and drapery, and 16-feet-high pressed tin ceilings create an ideal setting for a wedding or reception, family event or community activity. On the third floor, two carpeted rooms accommodate groups of 50, with easy availability of restrooms and a kitchenette. An elevator assists guests to the upper floors.

Ample parking is available in the Municipal Parking Lot across the street, at Crooked Alley KidSpace and the public parking lot behind Ace Hardware. Street parking is permitted in designated areas. Inquiries may be directed to Groveport Town Hall at 614-836-3333.
